Responsibilities
The Materials Handling Clerk is in charge of handling, monitoring and controlling the flow of medical and non-medical supplies and equipment.
Inventories, replenishes and stocks medical and non-medical supplies and selected equipment in the Storeroom. Checks expiration dates, rotates stock on par cart, in Pyxis and in the Storeroom inventory, to ensure quality of items.
Inventories, replenishes, and monitors Nursing unit par carts and Pyxis stations. Reads and interprets Storeroom requisitions.
Fills all requested items and delivers to appropriate area.
Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalent. Two (2) years of related experience preferred. Computer literate. Good communications skills written and verbal.
Must be able to relate well with all levels of hospital staff.
