Patient Scheduler - Call Center

Starting at $16.50 / hr

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to :

  • Answering and documenting incoming phone calls.
  • Ability to work in a high-volume call center environment.
  • Scheduling and confirming Patient’s appointments, providing preparation instructions.
  • Ability to learn new concepts and information effectively.
  • Verifying correct coding / eligibility for patient charts.
  • Responding to email correspondences in a timely manner.
  • Request and enter prior authorization documentation from healthcare providers
  • Prepping patient charts, obtaining resident MD approval.
  • Demonstrates customer service excellence consistently. Ability to prioritize appointments, stay organized, ensuring excellent patient experience and care.
  • Ability to meet the performance goals established for the position in the areas of : Key Performance Indicators, member satisfaction and attendance

Qualifications :

  • High school Diploma or higher
  • Aptitude for quickly learning and navigating new technology systems and applications.
  • Customer service experience
  • Spanish speaking is a plus.
  • Familiar with insurance verification; including HMO / PPO plans, CPT codes, and ICD 10 (preferred).
  • Willingness to learn and understanding clinical information obtained and can explain clinical information to both patient and / or provider
  • Communicate and collaborate with team-members and providers to resolve issues, using clear, simple language to ensure understanding
  • Effective oral and written communication skills.
  • Action-oriented - Takes on new opportunities and tough challenges with a sense of urgency, high energy, and enthusiasm.
  • Able to work, communicate and collaborate with others effectively and efficiently.
  • Demonstrates self-awareness - Uses a combination of feedback and reflection to gain productive insight into personal strengths and opportunities for growth and development.

Job Type : Full-time 8am - 5pm Mon - Fri, and rotating Saturdays
