- Plan, organize, and teach curriculum content in alignment with course objectives.
- Use applicable technology and pedagogical principles, teach course content via assigned delivery format (face-to-face, hybrid, online, and remote instruction).
- Complete required institutional trainings and professional development.
- Follow department and division requirements for preparing a course syllabus.
- Plan and deliver appropriate instructional activities that promote student engagement and learning.
- Evaluate student performance using assessment tools as directed by the department. Follow grading guidelines as established by department.
- Inform students in a timely manner of their progress. Maintain an up-to-date electronic grade book and enter final grades by the established due date.
- Comply with attendance and grading requirements as established for the course.
- Participate in departmental evaluation and course assessment processes as needed.
- Maintain regular communication with students, including timely replies to student emails. Use the assigned HCC email and / or CANVAS LMS communication for all department and student communications.
- Keep up-to-date with current business topics.
Minimum Education Required Other Knowledge Required
- Bachelor’s degree in business or related field is required.
- Business experience required.
- Master’s degree preferred.
- Prior teaching experience preferred.
- Commitment to teaching excellence and commitment to community college philosophy and mission.
- Interested candidates must be available to teach day, evening and / or online. Flexibility to teach during day is preferred.
