JOB DUTIES
Description
The Semel Institute is seeking to hire a Bilingual Limited Part Time Lab Assistant I to work with the Researchers in the H.
E.A.R.T (Health Equity and Access Research and Treatment) Laboratory.
Major duties include laboratory research support and task are as follows :
- Assist with conducting qualitative interviews in English and Spanish.
- Enter and manage research data.
- Assist with organizing and storing data.
- Assist with other general lab tasks.
- Assist with recruitment and enrollment of participants in research study.
- Please note that this limited position may convert to career. Pay Range : $19.32 $22.37 hourly.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
Qualifications
- Spanish speaking abilities required.
- Ability to coordinate data collection and data entry for research studies.
- Ability to interact appropriately and congenially with all staff, faculty, students, patients and the public at all times.
- Skill at prioritizing assignments and ability to work concurrently on several projects.
- Ability to function effectively with several interruptions.
- Ability to work independently and follow through on tasks with minimal direction.
- High level ability in the use of a PC using all Windows applications.
- Skill in maintaining organized filing systems.
- Skill in editing reports, correspondence, manuals, etc., for grammar and punctuation.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality in the strictest sense.
- Skill in maintaining accurate timekeeping.
- High school diploma required, BA preferred.
