- Adheres to Mission Fed telephone service and relationship-building standards to include identifying member needs, appropriately cross-selling products and services by presenting features and benefits and asking for the business.
- Answers incoming telephone calls and assists members in the loan application queue, loan inquiry queue, loan servicing queue, and new accounts queue using professional phone etiquette.
Proactively utilizes account retention techniques to maintain member relationships.
Effectively interviews members, reviews credit reports, and accurately processes loan applications in a timely manner while consistently seeking cross-sale and aftermarket product opportunities to achieve annual sales and loan production goals.
Furnishes loan decision along with terms and conditions providing financial counsel or alternatives to members. Responsible for loan follow up and thorough comments to aid underwriters to effectively decision the loan.
- Provides timely funding of loans through consistent follow up of loan approval to include the following :
- Income verification
- Proper loan file funding documentation to satisfy loan conditions.
- Complete and send loan packet to Quality Assurance / DMV
- Complete loan funding through MeridianLink for Consumer Funding Department to close out the loan.
- Ensure minimal errors and exceptions on loan packets to avoid a loss to the credit union.
- May remotely fund / complete loan set-up or refer loans to appropriate branches or departments for funding.
- Provides accurate, timely, and courteous responses and follows-up actions with member and branch inquiries regarding loan decisions, procedures, and questions.
- Reviews monthly reports & queues to ensure applications are completed in a timely manner to meet loan compliance / regulations.
- Successfully meets and exceeds monthly sales goals, service excellence and efficiency / effectiveness annual goals.
- Serves as role model and subject matter expert for the team demonstrating strong team building skills. Acts as training ambassador for new hires and Contact Center loan back up agents.
- Provide an excellent member service experience consistent with Credit Union Standards. Assist with resolving member issues and complaints quickly and accurately.
- Maintains in-depth knowledge of and complies with all Mission Fed, departmental and security policies, and procedures, as well as federal regulations applicable to the position, including BSA requirements.
Completes all required compliance training as assigned.
Interview existing members and potential members over the phone to determine membership eligibility to set up a new account while adhering to legal requirements and Credit Union policies and procedures.
Work collaboratively with EServices to assist or refer members with the status of their web applications.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Here is what we are looking for :
- High School Diploma, G.E.D., or equivalent is required.
- A minimum of 3years of financial institution experience to include a minimum of two years consumer loan processing experience and one year of customer service experience is required.
Call center experience is preferred.
- Excellent verbal communication, organizational, member service, and sales skills are required. Candidate must possess a professional demeanor and also have the ability to work in a high-paced and structured environment.
- Office (Word, Excel, Outlook). MeridianLink and Symitar for Windows is preferred.

Base Pay / Salary : $23.00 - $28.00 per hour, plus incentives
The hourly range that we expect to pay for this position is $23.00 - $28.00. Actual base pay within this range will be determined by several components, including but not limited to, relevant experience, internal equity, skills, qualifications, and other job-related factors permitted by law.
