BRIEF POSITION SUMMARY :
The Director of Learning and Development will lead the design, implementation, and evaluation of comprehensive learning and development programs.
This role requires a strategic thinker with a passion for developing talent and driving organizational growth through effective learning initiatives.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Stakeholder Engagement : Collaborate with senior leadership and department heads to identify learning needs and ensure alignment with business objectives.
- Strategic Planning : Develop and execute a long-term and short-term learning and development plan aligned with organizational goals.
- Program Development : Design and implement innovative learning programs, including leadership development, technical training, and soft skills enhancement.
- Team Leadership : Lead and mentor a team of learning and development professionals, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.
- Performance Measurement : Establish metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of learning programs and make data-driven improvements.
- Budget Management : Oversee the learning and development budget, ensuring cost-effective use of resources, and manage all external partnerships.
- Continuous Improvement : Stay current with industry trends and best practices to continuously enhance learning initiatives.
- Deliver Results : Apply a data-driven approach to measuring the effectiveness of learning and development programs and continuously iterate to improve results.
- Drives the MSC Culture in the department and throughout the company to ensure fulfillment of MSC’s vision and unity of purpose.
- Participation in special projects and performs additional duties as required.
QUALIFICATIONS
What You Need :
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Education, Learning & Organizational Development, or a related field.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in learning and development, with 3-5 years in a leadership role.
- Strong business acumen and customer focus.
- Proven ability to design and implement effective learning programs.
- Experience assessing, designing, and developing field sales learning journeys.
- Aptitude for partnering effectively and building strong relationships with credibility and trust, with team members and internal and external stakeholders.
- Proficiency in learning management systems (LMS) and e-learning platforms.
- Well-versed in adult learning theory, learning technologies, and multiple modes of delivery.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Demonstrated ability to interact with and influence key stakeholders, HR and business leaders.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including facilitation.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Experience with business operating systems and / or lean methodologies.

Other Requirements :
Up to 10% travel; must be authorized to work in the US.
Compensation starting at $127750 - $200750 depending on experience.
The salary range represented is based on similar roles in comparable industries, and the cost of labor in respective cities.
Actual compensation is based on the candidate’s relevant experience, education requirements and peer pay equity. The Company reserves the right to modify the range as market conditions change.
