Warehouse Manager

We are seeking a skilled Warehouse Manager to oversee the daily operations of our warehouse facility. The Warehouse Manager oversees warehouse operations and performs Shipping and Receiving, Order Fulfillment and maintains all warehouse equipment in compliance with OSHA rules and regulations.

Oversees, supports and provides guidance to the Warehouse Shipping, Receiving, Pick and Pack and Warehouse Operations teams.

Required Education and Experience :

• Bachelor’s degree
• 5 years Warehouse experience working in a distribution or warehouse environment
• Working knowledge of warehouse / mechanical equipment
• Must have experience with shipping requirements of major retailers such as Wal-Mart, Target, K-Mart, Joann's, etc.
• Familiar with outbound logistics with a focus on LTL freight carriers
• Knowledge of Warehouse Location and Order Fulfillment systems a must
• Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint proficiency required
• Experience with BPCS and AS / 400 a plus
• Excellent organizational ability and time management skills
• Ability to work well under pressure
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Bilingual English / Spanish (A plus)
• Ability to effectively present / communicate information on a one-on-one basis with co-workers and senior management, participates in meetings and advises team members on departmental matters

Essential Functions :

• Plan, direct, coordinate and improve the process of order fulfillment in Pick n Pack, warehouse shipping, inventory accuracy, receiving, and warehouse operations while developing and maintaining a professional environment.
• Establish and implement departmental policies, goals, objectives, and procedures
• Effectively manage labor to achieve customer delivery requirements while improving efficiency.
• Ensure cleanliness and organization of work areas.
• Ensure that the company is following the proper labeling, ASN requirements, and routing instructions put forth by our customers.
• Analyze and report on the efficiency of all areas of responsibility with the goal of maximizing the output per labor hour of these departments.

Develop monthly and quarterly staffing plans based on expected volumes and backlogs.

• Responsible for the evaluation of outbound freight service providers
• Provide leadership and handle the supervision of all employees in the Pick n Pack, Shipping, and Receiving areas including the effective selection, retention, development, and discipline.
• Evaluate impact of daily customer orders against current resources while minimizing or eliminating unplanned overtime.
• Responsible for expense management and control in the areas of responsibility.
• Maintain the efficient operation of our Quik-Trac order fulfillment and inventory location system.
• Manage all aspects of year-end physical inventory.
• Performs all other duties, projects and analysis as directed
• Manage C-TPAT as it relates to warehouse operations
• Conduct safety inspections and keep record of forklift maintenance and checklist
• Identify the developmental needs of others and coach, mentor, or otherwise help others to improve their knowledge and / or skills
• Occasionally required to conduct meetings or lead group discussions, make formal presentations and negotiate with service providers
• Required to write general correspondence, letters, memorandums and emails also required to compile and process reports on a regular basis
• Occasionally required to write out departmental procedures and guidelines
