Responsibilities :
- Conduct thorough assessments to identify individual needs and develop personalized treatment plans for each student or client.
- Provide direct occupational therapy services to children and adults, addressing a wide range of needs and conditions.
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and other professionals to integrate therapy goals into daily activities and classroom settings.
- Offer support and guidance to teachers and caregivers to ensure the consistent application of therapy strategies.
- Utilize evidence-based interventions and techniques to enhance functional skills, sensory processing, motor coordination, and overall independence.
- Monitor and track progress through ongoing evaluations, reports, and periodic meetings with stakeholders.
- Participate in IEP (Individualized Education Program) meetings to contribute valuable insights and advocate for students' needs.
- Stay informed about the latest advancements and best practices in occupational therapy through continuous professional development.
Qualifications :
- Master's degree (or higher) in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
- Valid Occupational Therapist license issued by the state of Oregon.
- Previous experience working with individuals ranging from preschoolers to adults is desirable.
- Knowledge of various disabilities, developmental delays, and mental health conditions.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with diverse teams and maintain open channels of communication.
- Strong organizational abilities to manage caseloads efficiently and maintain accurate records.
- Empathy, patience, and a genuine passion for helping individuals achieve their full potential.
