Job Description : Speech-Language Pathologist
Location : California, Maryland
Position Overview : We are looking for a passionate and dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist to join our team in California, Maryland.
The Speech-Language Pathologist will provide exceptional speech and language services to students, working collaboratively with teachers, parents, and other professionals to support students' munication skills and academic success.
Key Responsibilities :
- Conduct assessments to diagnose speech, language, and munication disorders.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to address students' specific needs.
- Provide therapy to improve students' speech, language, and munication skills.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and school staff to support students' educational goals.
- Participate in IEP (Individualized Education Program) meetings and contribute to the development of students' educational plans.
- Monitor and document students' progress, adjusting therapy plans as necessary.
- Provide training and resources to teachers and parents to support students' munication development.
- Maintain accurate and confidential records of all assessments and therapy sessions.
- Stay current with best practices and advancements in speech-language pathology.
Qualifications :
- Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
- Valid Maryland license or eligible for licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
- Certificate of Clinical petence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA).
- Experience working with children in a school setting is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of speech and language assessment tools, intervention strategies, and special education laws and regulations.
- Excellent munication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team and diverse stakeholders.
Licensure and Certification Requirements :
- Valid Maryland license or eligible for licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist issued by the Maryland State Board of Examiners for Audiologists, Hearing Aid Dispensers, and Speech-Language Pathologists.
- Certificate of Clinical petence (CCC) from ASHA.
- Maryland Department of Education certification as a Speech-Language Pathologist in the public schools.
