Site Reliability Engineer

As a site reliability engineer on our team, you’ll work with the Intelligence Community (IC) on the development of more robust systems by building a resilient infrastructure.
You’ll build in redundancy, implement monitoring tools, and automate wherever possible. You’ll reduce toil by scripting routine tasks and automating self-repair.
This is an opportunity to broaden your skillset into areas like system sustainment in the Cloud. We focus on growing as a team, so you’ll share your expertise through leadership and mentoring as you help the teamwork through challenges and develop new methodologies.

You Have :
Experience with implementing, troubleshooting, and maintaining systems while isolating and resolving problems involving the applications, operating system, hardware, communications, or infrastructure
Experience with hand-off of problem reports to appropriate client leadership
Experience with providing systems and account administration consistent with system requirements to support remote system service
Experience with providing support for the escalation and communication of status to agency management and internal customers
Experience with installing and loading operating systems and application software
Experience with troubleshooting, maintaining integrity, and configuring network components, including implementing operating systems enhancements to improve reliability and performance
Ability to support on-call rotation schedule
TS / SCI clearance with a polygraph
HS diploma or GED and 7+ years of experience in IT, Associate's degree and 5+ years of experience in IT, or Bachelor’s degree and 1+ years of experience in IT
Ability to obtain a Security+ CE, SSCP, CCNA-Security, or GSEC Certification within 6 months of start date
Nice If You Have :
Experience with supporting a help desk
Experience with network devices, including firewall administration
Knowledge of trouble ticketing systems and processes
Knowledge of government security practices and policies
Ability to navigate problems quickly and route issues to proper priority
Ability to work in a fast-paced and collaborative team environment
Possession of excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Security+ CE, SSCP, CCNA-Security, or GSEC Certification
Clearance :
Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information;
TS / SCI clearance with polygraph is required.

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements.
The projected compensation range for this position is $60,400.00 to $137,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
