Responsibilities
Area Director of Psychology Services
JOB SUMMARY : Provide administrative and clinical oversight to all Hartgrove Behavioral Health System and Garfield Park Behavioral Hospital Psychology Departments.
Supervision of staff and students, administrative direction and marketing oversight to meet budget expectations as required.
Maintains professional relationships with area graduate schools. Therapist may provide individual, family or group therapy to children, adolescents or adults at the inpatient facility based upon the therapist’s expertise, experience and training.

Education : PhD, Psy.D
Experience : 5+ years experience in a behavioral health inpatient and outpatient setting. 5+ years of supervisory experience.
Licensure / Certification : Licensed Clinical Psychologist in the state of IL
Knowledge : Prefer knowledge of general and psychiatric principles, working concepts and theory, age-specific growth and development, crisis and behavior management, individual, group and family therapy.
Able to work cooperatively with other site staff and involved community agencies. Good organization skills, as well as oral and written communication skills.

Supervision Exercised : UHS of IL Psychology Departments
Line of Promotion : N / A
Environmental Conditions : Exposure to psychiatric patients who may exhibit violent / aggressive behavior. Potential for exposure to communicable diseases, blood / body fluids and other hazardous waste.
General hospital environment.
Physical Requirements : Ability to communicate verbally and in writing. Physical agility to manage patients with crisis prevention interventions.
Push, pull and lift up to pounds. Intermittent sitting, standing, walking, bending and stooping.
