Position : Full-Time & Part-Time Positions Available

Pay Range : $14.00-$16.00 per hour

Shifts : Day Shifts (Monday-Friday) & Night Shifts (Every Night) available

Hours : Expected to work approximately 32-40 hours per week

Position Summary

This is an experienced Security Officer (Class C) position, and is an ideal fit for a candidate that has supervisory experience that can function at a high level in a prestigious environment.

As a Security Officer, you are tasked with securing the premises and personnel by staying on site, monitoring surveillance equipment, performing building inspections, guarding entry points, and verifying visitors.

Must be capable of employing de-escalation techniques and effective conflict resolution, ready to respond to emergency situations, detail-oriented, and follow strict processes and procedures.

A willingness to integrate themselves into the staff of the client site and provide timely and useful security information will be necessary for success in this role.

This Security Officer will be expected to conduct security assessments, routinely identifying potential threats with solutions to mitigate the threat.

A Signal Security Officer will complete all appropriate online and physical training modules, take and pass a drug test and background check, and be ready for duty in a field or dress uniform as defined in the Officer Standard Operating Procedures.

Responsibilities :

• Fields any and all inquiries / questions pertaining to site functions or responsibilities.
• Provide proactive visibility on the client's premises throughout the duration of the shift.
• Maintain a high standard of alertness & vigilance, with focus on the job at-hand at all times.
• Presents a professional appearance at all times, conducts himself / herself accordingly when interacting with client's staff, visitors, & guests.
• An effective communicator, both orally & written, uses sound judgement when dealing with situations and fully understands their role.
• Walk the client's site and the surrounding areas pre-determined in post orders.
• Intercept visitors and check for proper identification and escort to exits if not authorized.
• Notify police and emergency personnel when there is an emergency or unusual situation.
• Assist police, fire personnel, and other emergency crews when necessary.

Qualifications / Requirements :

• Be at least 21 years of age with high school diploma or equivalent.
• No criminal history, and able to pass a fingerprint background check.
• A Class "C" Officer with Signal Security must have one of the following :
• At least 2 years of military experience; - or -
• At least 2 years of police experience; - or -
• At least 5 years of security experience; - or -
• At least 1 year of security experience with Signal Security if using this experience, must have demonstrated the following :
• Consistent punctuality
• Consistent, quality report writing
• Good public relations skills
• Ability to control temper (cool under pressure)
• Works well with teammates
• Ability to resolve issues as they arise
• Not a recreational user of illegal drugs or narcotics, and able to successfully pass a drug test pre-employment as well as randomly throughout the duration of employment.
• Possess effective written and oral communication and interpersonal skills with ability to deal with all levels of personnel and the public in a professional and effective manner.
• Licensing by the state of Louisiana is a requirement for this job, and a previously active license is preferred.
• Driving Positions must possess a valid Driver’s License with at least one year of driving experience, a clean driving record, and the ability to safely operate a vehicle is required.
• Display exceptional customer service and communication skills.
• Have intermediate computer skills to operate innovative, wireless technology at client specific sites.
• Ability to handle crisis situations at the client site, calmly and efficiently
• Must be able to handle working with high or low volume of pedestrians, depending on assignments.
• Participate in industry specific security / safety training programs.
• Able to work in various environments such as cold weather, rain / snow, or heat.
• Occasionally lift or carry up to 40 pounds.
• Climb stairs, ramps, or ladders occasionally during shift.
• Stand or walk on various surfaces for long periods of time.

Position Summary :

A Signal Dedicated Officer will conduct static security services for courtyards, offices, pools, and other high value areas to ensure all required access points are properly secured and to ensure protection of property and residents with a high degree of attentiveness to details and safety.

Responsibilities :

• Will conduct and deliver various dedicated services that reflect the company's values, expectations, and consistent service in alignment with site specific instructions / post orders.
• Will write detailed and accurate reports utilizing company technology and web or app-based software during each shift that align with site instruction / post orders.
• The Ability to consistently arrive on time for shifts, clock in and out, meet time commitments, follow instruction, follow dress code and appearance standards and expectations
• Interacting with internal and external customers on site cultivating a customer service relationship while striving to provide peace of mind.
• Consistently communicates with the Advanced Dedicated Officer or the Dedicated Branch Supervisor to promptly report any customer or property related information and concerns.
• Responsible for the care of any Signal equipment assigned during shift including radios, access keys / cards, vehicles, and devices, etc.
• Consistently deescalate issues through communication in a professional and prompt manner.
• Manage daily activities while meeting key benchmarks and expectations set by the Dedicated Branch Supervisor such as reporting standards and service quality.
• Communicate with the Dedicated Branch Supervisor to receive and disseminate information through Branch Supervisor Daily Scrum, such as the client needs and post order changes to ensure operational excellence and efficiency.

Requirements :

• 18 years of age or older
• High school diploma or GED
• Pass background check and drug test
• Must have reliable transportation
• Complete training modules within first month
• Excellent organization, oral, and written communication skills
• Demonstrate a commitment to service, organization values and professionalism through appropriate conduct and demeanor at all times
• Must be able to move equipment weighing up to 20 pounds
