POSITION SUMMARY :
Under the direction of the 4K Manager, the 4K Substitute Teacher is responsible for carrying out the classroom teacher’s lesson plans while maintaining classroom management set forth by the West Bend School District and the Kettle Moraine YMCA.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS :
1. Follows the DCF (Department of Children and Families) 251 Licensing Rules for Group Child Care Centers.
2. Abides policies set forth by the Kettle Moraine YMCA and the West Bend School District.
3. Along with following classroom teacher lesson plans, the substitute teacher will work cooperatively with Co-Teachers and Teacher Assistants of the Kettle Moraine YMCA and West Bend School District in the classroom to problem solve issues, concerns, incidents, follow IEPs and reports any issues to the 4K Manager.
4. Communicates positively with children, their families, and co-instructors.
5. Collaborates and works cooperatively with West Bend School District special education teachers and other YMCA partners.
6. Performs other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS :
1. Minimum age of 18 years old.
2. Teaching license or Substitute teaching license.
3. Current CPR / AED certification preferred; required within 30 days of hire.
4. Must complete and pass fingerprint check.
5. Must complete a Health Physical and TB test within 30 days of hire.
6. The ability to appropriately interact with children at their cognitive level.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS :
1. Must have the ability to lift 40 lbs.
2. The ability to participate in required physical activities with the children.
