9 to 4.11-year-olds) to work in partnership with the center staff to achieve highest standards of quality for children, families and college students.
This is a benefited, 89% time position with appointment dates from early-August to mid-Juneeach year.
The Child Development Center (CDC), located on the Keene State College campus in Elliot Center, is a demonstration early childhood education site for Keene State College students, practicing professionals, and young children and their families.
The Center strives to model best practices by offering nurturing environments where young children are encouraged to explore, to be creative, to cultivate positive relationships, to experience the joy of learning, and to develop a sense of community.
The CDC is a dynamic learning community dedicated to providing excellent practical experiences for students studying to enter the teaching profession, or a related profession, with young children.
Undergraduate and graduate students are offered supervised experiences under the guidance of early childhood professionals, in the direct education and care of infants, toddlers, and preschool-aged children.
Through collaboration, the CDC staff contributes to an educational environment that encourages professionalism, growth, and diversity.

Under the guidance of the center director, the successful candidate will plan, implement and model best practices in early childhood programs for children, families and college students.
The Early Childhood Teacher also mentors and assists in the supervision of college students. - Posting Number PS4647FY24 Other minimum qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood, Family Studies, Elementary Education or related field with at least 18 credits in Early Childhood Education, including 3 credits in child development;
one year of related experience; demonstrated communication and organizational skills; sufficient strength and physical dexterity to perform duties and responsibilities of this position, including lifting up to 50 lbs.
Additional Preferred Qualifications 1-3 years of experience lead teaching children B-5; teaching experience in a laboratory early childhood center, NH Credential, Pediatric CPR and First Aid Certification.
