Job Details
As a Senior Project Engineer, you will :
1. Oversee the design and execution of large-scale solar PV projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
2. Utilize advanced software tools such as AutoCAD, PVcase and HelioScope for project design and optimization.
3. Conduct detailed electrical system designs, including single-line diagrams, equipment sizing, and selection.
4. Collaborate with various teams including construction, procurement, and operations to ensure project success.
5. Review and approve technical documents, including drawings, calculations, and specifications.
6. Ensure all projects comply with industry standards, regulations, and best practices.
7. Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers.
8. Act as the primary technical point of contact for clients and stakeholders.
9. Continually identify opportunities for process and product improvements, and lead the implementation of these initiatives.
To be successful in this role, you will need :
1. A Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
2. A minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role within the construction industry.
3. Proven large-scale solar PV engineering experience.
4. PVIP certification is highly desirable.
5. Proficiency in using AutoCAD, PVcase, and HelioScope.
6. NABCEP certification is a plus.
7. Strong technical understanding of solar system components and design.
8. Exceptional project management skills, with a proven track record of delivering projects on time and within budget.
9. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively liaise with team members, clients, and stakeholders.
10. A self-starter attitude with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
11. A strong commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
12. The ability to travel as needed for project requirements.
