Central Supply Coordinator

In keeping with our organization’s goal of improving the lives of the residents we serve, the Central Supply Coordinator plays a critical role in ensuring the Nursing staff has all the necessary medical supplies they need.

The Central Supply Coordinator receives and verifies medical supplies coming to the facility; records information for reordering, stocks and accounts for medical supplies and billing.

Essential Functions

• Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
• Assures that orders are correct and bills are submitted for payment.
• Responsible for ordering supplies within budgetary limitations.
• Assure that established infection control and standard precaution practices are maintained at all times. Follow established safety precautions when preforming tasks and using equipment and supplies.
• Reports all hazardous conditions, damaged equipment and supply issues to the appropriate persons.
• Communicates and interacts effectively and tactfully with peers and supervisors.
• Attend and participate in departmental meetings and in-services as directed.

Required Education and Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• One year of experience in a central supply role in a Skilled Nursing Facility.
• Knowledge of Joint commission procedures.
• Knowledge of IDPH regulations.
