We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Network Engineer to join our IT team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in network design, implementation, and maintenance.
As a Network Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring the stability, integrity, and efficient operation of the in-house information systems that support core organizational functions.
This role requires excellent problem-solving skills, a deep understanding of network infrastructure, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Key Roles (Essential Responsibilities) :
Manage Network Infrastructure
- Design, implement, and manage network infrastructure, including LAN, WAN, RDC, and wireless networks.
- Monitor network performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
- Configure and maintain network hardware, such as routers, switches, firewalls, and load balancers.
- Implement and manage network security measures, including firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and remote connections.
- Collaborate with other IT team members to design and implement network solutions that meet business requirements.
- Perform regular network assessments and audits to ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices.
- Develop and maintain network documentation, including diagrams, configurations, and procedures.
- Stay up to date with the latest industry trends and technologies to ensure the network infrastructure remains current and secure.
- Monitor and troubleshoot security cameras at HQ and offsite locations
Routine Helpdesk Troubleshooting
- Troubleshoot Printer hardware and connectivity
- Monitor NinjaRMM helpdesk system
- Ability to run data cables for expansion and replacement
- Assist with Sharepoint when needed
- Provide technical support and guidance to end-users and other IT staff.
Relationships :
Internal : Maintain close, daily contact with staff and supervisor to receive / provide information, discuss issues, explain guidelines / instructions;
instruct; and advise.
External : Maintain contact with external vendors, and others to assist in resolving challenges.
Computer Qualifications
- Management of company operating systems, servers, hardware, and software.
- IT End user computer troubleshooting (Windows / MAC, PC Hardware, Audio Video / Conference rooms / Printers / Smartphones + Telephony / Networking.
Skills & Knowledge Required :
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field preferred.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in network engineering or a related role.
- Strong knowledge of network protocols, including TCP / IP, DNS, DHCP, and BGP.
- Experience with network hardware, such as Ubiquiti, SonicWall, and EnGenius.
- Proficiency in network monitoring and management tools, such as SolarWinds, Nagios, or PRTG.
- Familiarity with network security principles and practices.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Relevant certifications, such as CCNA, CCNP, or CompTIA Network+, are a plus.
- SharePoint knowledge is a plus.
- Familiar with Office 365.
- Patience and understanding.
