Cashman Nursery is a family owned nursery, design and build landscape business based in the heart of Gallatin Valley with over 40 years' experience beautifying Southwest Montana.

We are looking for a Manager of Garden Center Hard Goods to be part of our team!
Compensation : Starting $18.00 to $25.00 per hour (depending on experience).
Job duties : Orders hard goods which includes chemicals, pottery, bagged goods, products related to gardening. Researches and secures the best sources for these products and compares freight costs.
Preorders products for the following year in the previous fall and winter where early ordering offers discounts or convenience.
Prices and stocks product and creates merchandise displays. Provides training and educates staff on chemicals and new hard good products.
Successful experience working in a retail environment / merchandising and purchasing and receiving is required. Garden nursery experience is ideal, but we will train the right person who embraces the role with eagerness and positivity!

Must enjoy engaging with others in a proactive and positive manner. Organization skills and flexibility are key to the success of this position and often requires responding to immediate product requests with efficiency and willingness.
Position is active around the store and requires creativity to design displays to increase purchases and ensuring the retail center be pleasing to the customer.
Someone who takes the initiative and possesses an easiness in the flow of performing the position will be highly successful.

Schedule : Fulltime and year-round work opportunity, 40 hours per week for 9 to 10 months per year. Less work is done in December, January and February.
Required to work at least one weekend day per week during the spring. Hours will vary. Lunch is 1 / 2 hour. Normal hours of operation - 8 : 30 a.
m. to 5 : 30 p.m. Monday through Saturday and Sunday from 10 : 00 a.m. to 4 : 00 p.m.
