SUMMARY OF THE JOB :

The IT Security & Compliance Analyst is a member of the IT Security team in the Technology department reporting to the IT Security Leader.

The role includes ensuring compliance program and security policy deliverables are achieved, supporting the security policies, processes, tools, and standards throughout the organization.

Partnerships with the Information Security Group, Internal Audit, Technology and other organizations within the bank, as well as designated external partners.

The ideal candidate must have a strong background in technology, security & metrics and must also be highly analytical, collaborative, organized, and is expected to partner effectively with other teams on an ongoing basis.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS :

  • Must foster strong working relationships with key stakeholder groups including IT Infrastructure team, Risk Organization and IT Security.
  • Able to handle tight deadlines and manage multiple priorities.
  • Measuring & reporting on configuration management program while insuring appropriate controls are in place.
  • Must maintain current knowledge on developing regulatory concerns and changing IT and information security trends.
  • Writing and executing policies / procedures.
  • Operationalize and conduct reviews on IT activities to ensure they are compliant.
  • Ability to track project status / deliverables, identify issues / risks, and assist in completion of documentation, training material, and mentoring.
  • Ability to present complex technical topics to a wide range of internal / external audiences in a way that establishes confidence, persuades others and gains understanding.
  • Proven ability to prioritize needs and deliver measureable results in a fast-paced environment.
  • Developing and operationalizing KPI metrics.
  • Point of contact and coordinator of IT audit activities, findings, management responses and corrective action plans.
  • Helps facilitate and regularly update the information technology policies and procedures related to certification standards.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES :

Compliance : Internal compliance requirements and participation in compliance reviews and reporting of internal and regulatory requirements and security best practices.

Cybersecurity : Perform cybersecurity operational tasks and contribute to cybersecurity initiatives that ensure the availability, integrity, and confidentiality of data and other IT assets.

Security initiatives and operations e.g. monitoring / reporting.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS :

  • In-depth knowledge / understanding of compliance, cybersecurity and network infrastructure operations
  • Experience in a quality management or regulatory compliance role highly desirable
  • Role is accountable for understanding Liberty Bank's IT policies, controls, standards and drives a risk- based program for assessing and managing risk.
  • Excellent oral / written communication skills.
