The New Goods Inventory Specialist supports Goodwill’s Retail team by assisting with all activities related to receiving, stocking, and fulfilling new goods product.
This may include printing orders, packing / shipping orders, physical inventory counts, and monitoring / reporting stock levels.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Receive inbound products including documenting and submitting accurate counts, validating receipt of goods against purchase orders and the accuracy of UPC’s
- Maintain accurate count of on hand new goods inventory
- Pack and ship new goods orders to stores and safely store products to maintain the condition of inventory
- Maintain inventory locations and move product as need for space requirements
- Label outbound shipping containers and assist with daily carrier pickup as needed
- May use hand trucks, carts, forklift, or pallet jacks as needed
- Assist with other inventory and shipping related activities in the warehouse
- Maintain a clean and organized workstation
- Participate in all required training activities to acquire skills on the job
- Responsible for training / orienting other employees as needed
- Attend and participate in daily huddles
- Perform other related duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS :
- High School diploma or GED
- 1-2 years of warehouse experience including receiving goods against purchase orders or other related experience
- Ability to work with new technologies and strive for high customer satisfaction
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Minimum 40 WPM typing skills
- Ability to work weekends and holidays
- Basic mathematical skills
- Ability to work respectfully and cooperatively with diverse group of individuals from a variety of educational, social and economic backgrounds
- Follow workplace quality and safety standards and contribute to a culture of safety
- Receptive to feedback, willing to learn and embrace continuous improvement
- Able to consistently lift a minimum of 45 lbs. unassisted
- Able to stand on hard surfaces for an extended period
