Job Summary
The position of Internal Auditor encompasses the responsibility to ensure compliance with every phase of ACR's processes.
This position will ensure all quality standards are met and maintain regulator requirements. The Internal Auditor will ensure all functions in the organization are adhering to defined processes and documentation are in place.
Duties / Responsibilities
Lead Auditor for AS9100 Quality Management System for compliance
- Audit Software system to AS9115 & ARP4754 standard
- Create an audit schedule and conduct AS9100 Internal audits
- Manage Corrective Action from Internal audit findings
- Conduct Product audits for Repair and Overhaul (R&O) Internal Organization
- Conduct Product Audits for operations
- Conduct process audits for operations
- Train employees to AS9100 standard requirements on an Annual basis
- Perform software process auditor work scope, technical requirements, program risks, and delivery milestone schedule.
- Audit software processes and test procedures to ensure compliance standards are satisfied and requirements are met
- Perform witness audits as required
- Work with Engineering Subject Matter Experts, Customers, and Suppliers, with minimal direction from the manager or senior-level peer to support technical issues as they relate to quality.
- Prepare audit summary for monthly Quality review and annual Management Review
- Executes risk-based internal audits on functions, departments, and established areas in accordance to checklists and annual planned audit work schedules
- Determines scope of review and sustainability of internal control designs
- Ensures all procedures and operating systems are adequate and on track
- Conducts audit testing and reports issues and dimensions of risks
- Reports gaps and suggests improvement for compliance with policies and procedures
- All other duties as assigned by management

Required skills / abilities
- Certified AS9100 Auditor
- 5+ years of directly related work experience with aerospace / defense industry software processes (such as RTCA DO-178, RTCA DO-254, SAE ARP-4754, MIL-STD-498, etc.)
- Ability to interpret schematic drawings, specifications, and contracts that will enable the development and review of systems & software processes.
Knowledge, Education, and Experience
- A Bachelor of Science Degree is required in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Computer Science, or other related degrees.
- Ability to travel may be required to support program activities up to 10% as the business requires.
- Continuous learner to develop your knowledge base through research, training, and hands-on experience.
- Decompose internal or external customer statements of work into detailed requirements
- Work with suppliers and internal customers to investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve issues
Physical Requirements
The position will require standing / walking for 4-8 hours / per day to review production activities
