SENIOR INTERNATIONAL ACCOUNTANT

Are you looking for a highly rewarding opportunity that provides extensive career growth opportunity? Gilbane is seeking an Senior International Accountant who will take responsibility for a hybrid mix of financial accounting, reporting, and international tax compliance for its Federal Division.

This position can be based out of any Gilbane office - preferably Concord, California or Englewood, Colorado. This individual will report to the Division Controller.

The Senior International Accountant will manage statutory reporting and various tax filings for multiple entities in Asia, Middle East and Europe.

Tax compliance management will include ensuring compliance with VAT and other local tax, corporate tax filing requirements and for liaising with the International Mobility HR team and outside consultants regarding expatriates, local nationals and third country nationals.

Additionally, the position will assist with certain other accounting functions. If you are looking for a hands-on accounting opportunity, this is the role for you to consider further! Responsibilities

Hands on financial reporting responsibilities for multiple international entities, including monthly, quarterly and annual close, audit oversight and cash forecasting.

Coordinate with international accountants, managers, outside accountants and corporate team for compliance, reporting and banking matters

• Work with international accounting firms and Enterprise personnel to complete all accounting transactions and financial statements for local GAAP compliance
• Work with outside accounting firms and international personnel to complete audit and statutory reporting and tax filing requirements, including Transfer Pricing and benchmark analysis oversight
• Oversees the development and accounting for Transfer Pricing policies and intercompany balances activities
• Assist in establishing new international entities
• Assist Treasury in set up and monitoring of international bank accounts, including bank balances

Qualifications

EXPERIENCE / EDUCATION

• BA / BS degree in Accounting or related field
• 8+ years' accounting experience with broad G / L, intercompany, joint venture and international accounting experience required
• Large international company and public accounting firm experience preferred
• Expertise with both US GAAP and IFRS
• Working with international subsidiaries
• Understanding of VAT, Consumption tax, GRT, and international corporate income tax
• Experience working with HR Mobility and related tax requirements
• Ability to communicate well and work with both international and domestic personnel
• Aware of topics associated with setting up and administering foreign operations from a multinational organization perspective

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

• Experience with Transfer Pricing and Benchmark process
• Experience with multi-currency
• CPA or international equivalent preferred
• Construction industry experience preferred, preferably in US Federal government contracting

Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.

For Concord, California, this ranges from $99,600 - $121,800 plus benefits and retirement program.For Englewood, Colorado, this ranges from $88,600 - $121,800 plus benefits and retirement program.
