POSITION OVERVIEW

The Personal Wellness Trainer is responsible for all personal training as well as the Stretch and Recovery Programming in the Fitness Center.

The role will also be responsible for working with leadership to create unique programming to offer throughout the Fitness Center.

Will also assist fitness center operations day-to-day.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The following and other duties may be assigned as necessary :

  • Welcome and interact with guests as they enter and exit the facility.
  • Provide a luxury experience while engaging conversations with guests and team members
  • Ensure that the fitness center is neat, clean, and well stocked
  • Assist guest with personal training sessions that are reserved through spa and wellness booking system
  • Be a part of the Stretch and Recovery Programing in the fitness center
  • Able to interact with guests as they are in the fitness center to give advice and reserve personal training
  • Customize guest’s workout programs to best achieve their wellness goals
  • Assist with fitness operation as needed
  • Properly record and report any mechanical issues for damage workout equipment.
  • Provide accurate, appropriate, and immediate responses to all guest requests. Follow up to ensure guest satisfaction
  • Must lead by example by demonstrating exceptional guest service and employee interactions along with following all company and department policies and procedures
  • Attend and participate in support training and staff meetings
  • Ensure all Fontainebleau core values, property, department standards are implemented and applied
  • Able to multi-task while assisting multiple guests
  • Assist in the fitness center when needed
  • Temporary or permanent duties and responsibilities may be added to or modified as deemed necessary

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and / or ability required.

  • Personal Trainer Certified
  • One year of experience in recreation, fitness, and / or wellness facility or a similar or related field
  • Working knowledge of various fitness equipment
  • Polished appearance and demeanor
  • Excellent guest and team member skills
  • Must be willing and able to work a flexible schedule to include nights, holidays, and weekends
  • Work in a fast-paced, busy, and somewhat stressful environment with high call volume

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

This position does not have supervisory responsibilities.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

Member must be able to qualify for licenses and permits required by federal, state, and local regulations.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read and interpret documents in English, such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.

Ability to read and communicate verbally in English. Written communication skills in English may also be required.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

While performing the duties of this job, the Member is regularly required to stand and use hands and fingers to handle or utilize objects, tools, or controls.

The Member frequently is required to reach with hands and arms and talk or hear. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and peripheral vision.

The Member must regularly lift and / or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and / or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and / or move up to 50 pounds, and must have the ability to push, pull, reach, bend, twist, stoop, stack, crouch, kneel and balance when performing job duties in varying work areas such as confined spaces.
