Printing Press Helper - Morning Shift

The Printing Press Helper is responsible for assisting in operating finishing presses to produce quality color matched, finished labels.

S / he will assist with ensuring quality labels are produced, help with plate mounting, and completing tasks in our ERP The ideal candidate should have a positive attitude and the desire to learn the label production process.

This role reports to the Finishing press lead. This shift is from 5 am - 1 : 30 pm M-F RESPONSIBILITIES Assist the Finishing press lead with preparing jobs.

Perform the setup and operation of the finishing press and lamination. Ensure the press room is stocked with needed supplies, i.

e., ink, film, stock, etc. Clean plates and flexo stations to ensure they are in good working order. Maintain and clean press before and after each shift.

Perform basic troubleshooting of problems during machine operation. Ensure that regular and preventative maintenance procedures are carried out.

Ensure all safety devices and guards are fully operational and that safety procedures are being observed. Ensure that machines are producing quality products by managing periodic checks on output.

Record all production performance, counts, downtime and other quality or production related information as required. Meet specified production performance targets.

Participate in production process improvement efforts. Visually inspect products for quality checks, registration, ink coverage, and numbering sequence.

Assist in QC, Shipping and Delivery when needed to maintain a proper lead time for all products.
