Overview
The Director of Partner Development will play a pivotal role in driving the growth and success of our practices by providing strategic leadership and support to our network of current and potential practice partners.
This position requires a dynamic individual with a proven track record in business development, coaching, and relationship management within the healthcare vertical.
Aligning with current Partner Doctors who are approaching retirement to align succession planning, expanding locations / practices, and / or aligning with other potential growth opportunities.
Responsibilities
1. Strategic Planning & Execution
- Develop DCA’s partnership strategy, in collaboration with executive leadership, to create a solid provider network to support and drive consistent growth to our practices.
- Develop a proactive succession planning strategy for all of our practices by identifying new partner prospects and facilitating new partner buy in’s to assist in the smooth transition of retiring or exiting partners.
2. Provider Network Support
- Serve as the primary point of contact and adviser for all partner doctors, offering guidance and resources to enhance practice performance.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with all doctors, fostering a sense of community and collaboration.
- Coordinate and attend regular doctor engagement events (dinners, annual meetings / summits, etc.).
- Act as a liaison between partner doctors and internal departments, advocating and communicating their needs and priorities to ensure timely responses and resolution of issues.
3. Training & Development
- Create an official program around Preparing for Ownership that will include both business and leadership courses to emphasize the key drivers for long-term practice success.
- Leverage successful partner doctors to serve as mentors and subject-matter-experts around growing and expanding a practice to multiple locations.
- Identify opportunities for professional development and continuing education for both partner doctors and their teams.
4. Marketing & Communication
- Conceptualize, organize and run doctor communication to ensure consistency in messaging, frequency, and follow up. This will include ghostwriting communication from our Chief Dental Officer and other clinical leadership.
- Collaborate with marketing to create targeted campaigns for new grads outlining our Path to Partnership.
- Educate the university team on talking around DCA’s Path to Partnership program and how to generate excitement amount residents and fellows.
5. Performing Monitoring & Analytics
- Track and analyze production data on partnered doctors that have gone through the official Preparing for Ownership program to assess any areas of improvement.
- Through the review of trends and analytics, identify potential internal and external growth opportunities to expand access to care by partnering with operations, talent acquisition, or other areas to influence without authority to expand efforts nationwide.
Work Environment :
This job operates in a professional office environment and can be performed working from home. This role routinely uses standard office equipment.

This position requires the ability to occasionally lift products and supplies, up to 20 pounds with up to 25% travel time.

Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, business management, human resources or other related field. Military experience or applicable work experience that is equal to or greater than a 4 year degree may be considered in lieu of a formal degree.
5+ years of experience in; provider relations, business development, and / or sales ideally in a medical, clinical, or dental environment.
Qualifications / Training :
- Experience working with licensed Dentists or Physicians
- Project and program management experience, ideally in business development or program expansion
- Ability to overcome objections, and drive change management
- Demonstrated planning, analytical, and organization skills and the ability to use creative approaches to solve problems.
- Ability to develop and execute on a project plan.
- Ability to work successfully with ambiguity, being flexible and innovative.
- Solid interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills and the ability to optimally work with work with highly sensitive information in a confidential manner.
- Computer proficiency with extensive experience with Word, Excel, PowerPoint.

- Ability to cope with the stress of continuous time pressures, including discerning priorities and scheduling appropriately while being highly diplomatic.
