Remote Java GCP Engineer

Job Description

An enterprise level Fortune 250 Retail company located in Memphis, TN is looking for a Remote Senior Java GCP Engineer. This resource will be a mixture of a Java Engineer and GCP Engineer.

They are looking for a current Java engineer that is / has built java applications on prem and then migrated those applications to the cloud - GCP Specifically.

This is the Merchandising, Search and pricing vertical. They are looking for a senior resource that can handle large amounts of data ingestion and help migrate the applications to the cloud.

Their biggest initiative is enterprise wide is migrating from on prem to the cloud. This engineer will be leading / guiding this group through the process of building apps and migrating them to the cloud.

1.Application Development :

oDesign, develop, and deploy high-quality applications on GCP.

oWrite clean, maintainable, and efficient Java code.

oDevelop and maintain APIs and microservices.

oImplement best practices for cloud-native application development.

2.Cloud Infrastructure :

oDesign and manage scalable cloud infrastructure using GCP services.

oOptimize performance and cost of cloud resources.

oEnsure the security and compliance of cloud infrastructure.

3.DevOps and CI / CD :

oImplement CI / CD pipelines using GCP tools and other industry-standard tools.

oAutomate infrastructure provisioning, configuration management, and application deployment.

4.Monitoring and Maintenance :

oSet up monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions to ensure application reliability and availability.

oTroubleshoot and resolve production issues.
