SMX is seeking a demonstrated leader to serve as a Program Manager over a large federal IT program responsible for delivery business intelligence and data analytics-related services.

This person will be closely collaborating with other data analytics professionals who produce creative solutions that involve data pipelines, data models, and data visualizations.

This is a hybrid position with on-site work performed at a client's office located in Washington, DC. Candidate is required to be on-site three (3) days per week.

Responsibilities

  • Provide oversight for enterprise business intelligence and data analytics program
  • Provide oversight on delivery backlog and work with development leads to balance team workloads to ensure priorities are in alignment with client vision
  • Manage multiple delivery teams with competing priorities and finite resources
  • Lead team's scrum masters and project's integration with other teams in an Agile Release Train
  • Build working relationships with various government and contractor stakeholders
  • Effectively manage a matrixed team structure to ensure on-time delivery of simultaneous workstreams
  • Drive continuous improvement and efficiency in client delivery
  • Coordinate recruiting and interview actions
  • Lead staff onboarding / offboarding actions
  • Ensure team is up to date on mandatory company and client trainings
  • Manage subcontractor contracts and work orders
  • Update project budget forecasts and address needs of the client CO and COR
  • Review and approve timesheets, expenses, time off
  • Conduct the weekly project teams leads meeting
  • Submit monthly invoices
  • Publish and lead monthly contract status meeting with the client
  • Represent team in the monthly SMX account management meeting
  • Support the review of statements of work and proposals.
  • Communicate technical, industry, and market facts to position SMX as a best of breed Solution Provider with customers

Required skills and qualifications

  • 10+ years related experience
  • Must be able to lead / work as part of a group to develop new and innovative ideas for statements of work and proposal responses.
  • Self-motivated with a high attention to detail and ability to multitask.
  • Manage time efficiently, meet personal goals, and work effectively with other members of the Digital Solutions Group.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, a positive attitude, strong drive for results, and the ability to deal with ambiguity.
  • Demonstrate good judgment in analyzing information to make decisions, and the ability to think strategically while working with partners to extend reach and drive adoption.
  • Active Top Secret clearance
  • Bachelor's degree in business management or related field

Preferred skills and qualifications

  • Experience managing IT program of similar size, scope, and scale at FBI
  • Working knowledge of data analytics and business intelligence capabilities (MicroStrategy, ThoughtSpot, AWS)
  • Demonstrated experience in leading data analytics and business intelligence programs
