We are seeking an experienced EPM / EHR Trainer to provide 1 week of go-live support for users of a ophthalmology clinic that will be going live on NextGen EPM and EHR.
Support will be primarily focused on EPM front desk . The ideal candidate will be responsible for delivering comprehensive training to staff, ensuring that they are proficient in using the system for day-to-day operations.
The trainer will also provide support on best practices, troubleshoot issues, and guide staff through system updates and improvements.
Responsibilities :
- Go-Live Support Delivery : Create and deliver structured training programs on EPM and EHR systems for new users, covering topics such as :
- Scheduling & Check-in : Efficient appointment scheduling and patient check-in processes using auto-flow.
- Balancing & Reconciliation : Daily financial balancing for money collected.
- Telephone Interactions : Best practices for documenting telephone interactions using the Telephone Call template in the EHR.
- EHR Navigation : Training staff on general navigation, updating patient records, and accessing clinical documentation in the NextGen EHR.
- Document Library Management : Teach staff how to generate and locate documents in the Document Library.
- Insurance Verifications : Instruction on verifying insurance eligibility prior to appointments.
- Co-Pay Collection : Training on collecting co-pays and processing payments using InstaMed .
- EPM Reporting : Educate users on running and interpreting EPM reports .
- Document Scanning : Guide staff in the proper scanning and uploading of patient documents into the EMR system.
- Patient Portal (PxP Portal) : Train users on how to support patients in accessing and navigating the Patient Portal (PxP).
- Onsite Support & Troubleshooting : Provide hands-on support to staff for EPM and EHR-related issues, troubleshoot level 1 system errors, and en.
sure optimal usage of the system. Report any issues found to the daily Support Hotline for further troubleshooting.
Training : A 2-hour session will be held to review the client's internal procedures and workflows before the go-live.
Requirements
Extensive experience with EPM and EHR systems, with a focus on :
- Scheduling, check-in processes, and patient management
- Financial balancing and reconciliation
- Insurance verification and payment processing using InstaMed
- EHR navigation and document management
- Running and analyzing EPM reports
- Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical staff.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on user support.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple training sessions simultaneously.
Certifications :
- EPM Certification (required)
- EHR Certification (optional)
- Experience with InstaMed or similar payment processing platforms is a plus.
