About The Role :

As a Facilities Technician at Aurify Brands, you will play a vital role in ensuring our fast casual restaurants operate smoothly and efficiently.

Your expertise in basic plumbing, electricity, machinery, and tools will be key as you perform essential repairs, installations, and upkeep on our buildings and vending equipment.

Your work will directly impact the day-to-day operations of our shops (brands include Melt Shop, Fields Good Chicken, and Wingstop), helping us maintain a welcoming and functional environment for both our customers and team members.

Must have hands-on experience and ability fixing and maintaining restaurant equipment!

Essential Duties & Responsibilities :

• Perform maintenance on restaurant kitchen appliances, such as fyers, grill / flattops, walk-ins, freezers, etc.
• Perform routine inspections and maintenance tasks on building systems, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, mechanical systems, walk-in freezers, grills, fryers, lighting, and painting.
• Respond promptly and effectively to facility-related issues, such as equipment malfunctions, leaks, or power outages.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose problems and implement timely and efficient solutions.
• Conduct repairs and replacements of faulty equipment or components.
• Assist in the installation and setup of new equipment or systems.
• Monitor and maintain inventory of supplies and equipment, ensuring adequate stock levels.
• Coordinate with external vendors or contractors for specialized repairs or services.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
• Document all maintenance and repair activities, including any performed repairs or replacements.
• Perform drywall repairs and painting to maintain the aesthetic and functional quality of our facilities.
• Utilize experience with flooring materials and installation to perform necessary repairs or installations.

Qualifications - Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• High School diploma or GED.
• At least two years of verifiable experience maintaining various building interior and exterior surfaces, including painted and papered walls, baseboards, tiled and carpeted floor surfaces, and brass and stainless steel finishes
• Must have established relationships with vendors and parts companies to assist in ordering, negotiating pricing, and ensuring timely delivery of supplies and equipment.
• Experience with HVAC, electrical, cooking and plumbing equipment.
• Ability to use basic carpentry, plumbing, painting, and custodial hand and electric powered tools.
• Must have a reliable car and the ability to travel to all stores within our Long Island, Westchester, New York City, and Staten Island portfolio.
• Must be able to meet the physical requirements of the job, including frequent bending and stooping, squatting, reaching above and at shoulder height, kneeling, balancing, sitting, lifting objects weighing 50 lbs, occasional pushing / pulling, and twisting at the waist.

Manual dexterity to operate computer keyboards, grasp writing materials, and handle hand and power tools is required. Good balance is essential.

Must frequently talk or hear, stand, sit, walk, use hands to finger, handle or feel, and reach with hands and arms. Must visually identify, observe, and assess.

Work involves varying conditions, including exposure to mechanical and electrical hazards, temperature extremes, and both indoor and outdoor environments.
