Pipefitter - Traveling

Job Description Summary : Occupation as an Industrial Pipefitter, under the direction and supervision of designated Field Foreman, General Foreman or Superintendent(s), duties include but are not limited to a strong understanding of industrial piping systems, including installation, maintenance, and repair.

Ability to read and interpret blueprints and drawings. Delegate tasks and assist with training for other employees. Support activities at all Swinerton jobsites as directed.

Job Description : POSIITON RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIESInstall, repair, and maintain industrial piping systemsInterpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine the layout and materials required for the jobMeasure and cut piping to required lengths, using cutting tools and machinesInstall and maintain valves, gauges, and other fittingsInspect and test piping systems for leaks or other defectsTroubleshoot and repair piping systems as necessaryWork with other members of the team to ensure projects are completed on time and within budgetMINIMUM SKILLS AND EXPERIENCEAbility to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specificationsKnowledge of piping systems, including installation, maintenance, and repairAbility to learn new skills with attention to detail.

Lift and / or pull 50lbs.Climb ladders, work off of ladders, man lifts or other equipment.Willingness to work in various locations and conditions, including outdoors and in confined spacesAbility to maintain a standing position for extended periods of time, fully squat, bend or kneel while wearing a tool belt.
