Position Title : Tool Builder
Location : Auburn Hills
Shifts Needed : Day or Night
Days Monday- Friday 6a-4 : 45p + Saturday 6a-12p Nights Monday- Friday 4p-2 : 45a + Saturday 12p-6p
Character of Position
As a Tool Builder , you will be responsible for building tools or fixtures to facilitate improved efficiency and quality of end-products.
Responsibilities
- Execute build as represented in manufacturing plan and on prints for most medium and difficult complexity jobs
- Drill, and tap holes
- Work on a wide variety of jobs with frequent, established deadlines
- Achieve quality and production goals
- May have potential for travel
- Follow OSHA safety guidelines, and ITAR compliance
- Other duties as assigned
Skills
- Effective oral and written communications
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Self-motivated but able to take direction
- Understand and work to all QMS procedures and work instructions
- Ability to read complex blueprints
- Identify and find specifications within blueprint given
- Geometric tolerances (understand and recognize some symbols)
- Understanding of general tolerances
- Comprehend simple sections and views
- Understand reference system
- Understanding of Enovia
Experience
- Minimum of 3 years aerospace tooling experience
- Operate most manual machines including lathes, presses, grinders, and Bridgeport's (Not mandatory)
Education
High School Diploma or equivalent
Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship or Valid Permanent Resident status is required.
