Overview :
I am hiring for a Senior Estimator position in the western suburbs of Chicagoland. The firm is growing quickly and has doubled in annual revenue over the last year, reaching $100M+.
Their work encompasses Retail, Restaurants, Medical, and Office Space, both ground up and interiors. This position has opened up due to growth and will step into a lead position in their estimating department.
Most of their work is negotiated, repeat business clients and this role will partner with clients during design phase through completion.
Responsibilities :
- Leading a team of estimators, providing mentorship, and fostering a collaborative work environment.
- Overseeing the preparation and submission of accurate and competitive estimates for projects of varying scope and complexity.
- Conducting in-depth cost analysis, material take-offs, and labor assessments to ensure the most cost-effective solutions.
- Collaborating with project managers, architects, engineers, and subcontractors to gather essential information for comprehensive bids.
- Staying current with industry trends, materials, and technologies to refine estimating strategies.
- Reviewing and optimizing the estimating process to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
Requirements :
- 5-10+ years experience as an estimator in the construction industry, with a strong background in leadership.
- Expertise in construction estimating software and tools.
- Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality estimates.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills to interact effectively with stakeholders.
- A Bachelor's degree in construction management, civil engineering, or a related field.
