Director of Strategic Projects (Req. 29521)

Reporting to the Dean of the School and the Associate Dean for Academic Programs, the Strategic Projects Manager, will be responsible for advising on, developing and managing new, and existing projects from initiation through implementation.

The scope of the position includes preparing high-level reports and proposals for the Deans' review, managing the School's Accreditation / Self-study, School-wide academic proposals / initiatives and oversight of School-wide academic data.

The Manager will serve as point person for the accreditation process and all related reports. The manager will supervise the Senior Data Analyst.

The Manager will monitor project progress and identify and implement necessary adjustments, will fulfill any reporting requirements and will work with the Dean of the Fielding School of Public Health to ensure projects contribute to advancing the strategic objectives of the School.

Required :

  • Masters Degree (advanced degree in Public Health, Public Policy, Economics, Management, or related discipline an asset) and at least 5 years of relevant experience
  • Experience in developing projects and processes from the inception stage through implementation including writing reports that includes assembling and analyzing data
  • Demonstrated understanding of issues and concepts surrounding public health
  • Ability to effectively multi-task, and to prioritize and execute tasks in a high-paced environment
  • Ability to work both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
  • Knowledge of project management tools and techniques
  • Superb writing and editing skills
