Volt is immediately hiring a 2nd Shift - CNC Machinist in Fairview, Oregon .

Position : CNC Machinist

Location : Fairview, Oregon

Shift : Monday Thursday, 4 : 00 PM 2 : 30 AM (Training on 1st shift)

Pay : $25 - $32 per hour DOE + $1.17 per hour shift differential

Bonuses : Monthly Bonus of 20%

Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.

What We're Looking For :

• Experience : Proficiency with CNC Lathes and Mills, including horizontal mill setup, ideally with Fanuc controls.
• Skills : Strong understanding of CNC G & M code, blueprint reading, and machine shop mathematics. Competency in operating forklifts and overhead cranes.
• Education : A two-year degree in Machining Technology is preferred but not required. We welcome candidates who are new graduates and eager to gain hands-on experience .
• Attention to Detail : A keen eye for identifying machining inaccuracies and maintaining high-quality standards.

Key Responsibilities :

• Operate CNC Mills and Lathes , including Mori Seiki machines with Fanuc controls.
• Execute and edit G & M code , with an opportunity to prove new programs.
• Perform quality checks using fixed gauges and calipers to ensure parts meet specifications.
• Suggest improvements for tooling, setups, and programs to enhance efficiency.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment , performing routine equipment maintenance.
