Intern Accounting (20006107)

Basic Function

HF Sinclair is seeking an Accounting Intern for the summer of 2025 located in Dallas, TX. This intern will assist accountants by performing routine accounting assignments for the accounting department under close and frequent supervision.

Job Duties

functions considered essential as defined by ADA)

• Prepares various accounting statements and reports
• Reviews, updates, and maintains files daily / monthly
• Performs accounting and financial analysis

Other duties may include some or all of the following :

• Processes credit card file reports
• Invoice marketers
• Measures volumes and track actual vs. scheduled volumes by site
• Make accounting entries
• Track and enter all master file additions, changes, de-branding

Special assignments or tasks assigned to the employee by their supervisor, as determined from time to time in their sole and complete discretion.

Experience

Education Level

Some completed courses needed for a Bachelor's Degree, preferably in accounting or finance, are required.

Required Skills

Able to perform some basic accounting analysis and ability to perform basic mathematical calculations. Basic knowledge of Microsoft products, Entry-level understanding of accounting practices and procedures.

Intermediate reading and writing skills. Ability to effectively communicate with others, both written and verbal communication.

PREFERRED SKILLS :

Experience with accounting and maintenance software, and experience in revenue accounting is preferred.

Office based.

Job conditions require sitting, twisting, stooping, crouching, kneeling, talking or hearing, making visual inspections, making precise hand and finger movements, reaching or grasping, lifting and / or carrying up to 5lbs, pushing and / or pulling up to 5lbs, climbing up to 2ft, perceiving color differences.

Job conditions may require standing and walking.
