Quantitative Developer
Seated within our Quantitative Investment Science group, this position (Quantitative Developer) interacts directly with fellow Quant team members and investment professionals across multiple strategies.
This versatile software engineer will focus on the creation, implementation, and refinement of web-based quantitative tools and algorithms to augment and systematize our investment and asset allocation decisions.
This role is ideal for creative software engineers looking to apply and build their software development skills within a dynamic and fast-paced quantitative team embedded within an industry-leading private equity investment team.

What you will do :
- Design, develop, and test web applications that systematize and augment investment decisions.
- Continuously iterate on existing tools and build new tools, incorporating feedback and new technological advancements to ensure relevance and utility.
- Collaborate with senior researchers and analysts and stay up to date with the latest trends and methodologies in the quantitative finance domain.
- Work directly with investment team professionals to turn ideas into software.
What you bring :
- Strong proficiency in python and it's associated data stack
- Experience with testing techniques (unit, integration, and end to end tests)
- Ability to craft a modern, web-based user experience
- Understanding of system design
- Understanding of git
- Experience with cloud platforms like Azure or equivalent
- Awareness of caching, performance improvement, and API optimization
- Preferred, but not vital : financial industry experience, react, typescript, understanding of containers, CI / CD pipelines, statistical modeling, and exploratory data analysis
Education Preferred
Bachelor of Science (B.S) or equivalent experience
