Key Responsibilities include : Schedule nursing unit staff. Determine and ensure appropriate unit staffing ratio. Adhere to nursing FTE standards and manage daily reporting in Excel according to Hospital policy, reporting to DON.
Accurately communicates nurse Managers / House Supervisor regarding staff, cues and acuity levels. Collect and compute staffing statistics on a daily basis and communicating statistics to Nurse Leaders (Attendance, tardiness, and meal alerts).
Carries out clerical and administrative assignments to support department operation. Reports hospital staffing totals to Hospital Leaders, in order to identify current staffing ratios designed to manage patient admissions.
Identify unit duties of all Nursing Staff in order to report hours worked for payroll. Will adhere to all safety policies and safe work practice.
Will adhere to all hospital policies and procedures. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications Job Requirements : Education : High school diploma required, Bachelor degree in Behavioral Health or Psychology highly preferred.
Experience : 2+ years Previous experience in Behavioral Health and 2+ years Staffing Coordinator experience preferred. Additional Requirements : CPR certification and Completion of Handle With Care training within 90 days of employment.
