Plant Controller

Key Responsibilities of the Plant Controller :

  • Oversee all financial operations of the plant, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
  • Develop and maintain standard costing systems to accurately measure and report manufacturing costs.
  • Monitor and analyze production costs, variances, and inventory valuation to identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements.
  • Prepare and present monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports to senior management.
  • Collaborate with plant management to develop and implement cost control measures and operational improvements.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Manage the month-end and year-end close processes for the plant.
  • Conduct regular audits of financial transactions and processes to ensure accuracy and integrity.
  • Provide financial guidance and support to plant managers and other departments.
  • Lead and mentor a team of 2 accounting professionals, fostering a culture of continuous learning and development.

Required qualifications of the Plant Controller :

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA or CMA certification is preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, with a strong focus on costing and financial analysis.
  • In-depth knowledge of standard costing, variance analysis, and inventory management.
  • Proficiency in larger ERP systems
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy in financial reporting.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
