Managing Director, Titan Capital Management

Essential Duties

Collaboration and Coordination :

Coordinate activities across the suite of Titan Capital Management programs to ensure all students receive a thorough introduction to a variety of career paths between wealth management, asset management, and financial analysis.

Titan Capital Management programs include : TCM student investment program (Finance 442 and 443)Student Managed Investment Fund (SMIF, Finance 341)Professional Certificate in Personal Financial Planning (PFP)Chartered Financial Analyst scholarship program (CFA)

Work with program directors, Finance department chairperson, and the dean of the College of Business and Economics to : Establish guidelines and recommended practices to maximize the success of each programEnsure each program has sufficient resources to achieve its mission, including : Recruiting qualified facultyNegotiating special compensation where appropriateProviding access to software and other resources essential to the professional application of each program’s curriculum (i.

e. FactSet and Bloomberg)Evaluate program outcomes and devise strategies for improvement when change is needed

Act as a single point of contact for alumni, students, potential employers and donors

Co-curricular activities :

• Work with program directors and administrative assistant to arrange activities connecting TCM students with investment practitioners : Networking events, site visits, student investment conferences hosted by outside institutions (such as Quinnipiac in New York City)
• Organize the annual Titan Capital Management student investment conference (fall)
• Tentative : Work with fundraising staff in the College of Business and Economics to publicize an annual speaker event for fundraising purposes (spring)
• Ensure that all events are included in the Titan Capital Management calendar, posted to the program website, and submitted to CSUF and Orange County publications for distribution, as appropriate

Marketing, Recruiting, and Fundraising :

• Work with administrative assistant to create marketing materials promoting the program to students, potential employers, and potential donors
• Work with administrative assistant to maintain the Titan Capital Management website, Facebook page, and LinkedIn page
• Represent Titan Capital Management at college and university events
• Organize semester recruiting for all Titan Capital Management programs : Professional Certificate in Personal Financial Planning, Finance 341 Student Managed Investment Fund, CFA scholarship program, and the TCM student investment program
• Work with program directors to manage the annual recruiting and admissions process for the TCM student investment program
• Work with program directors to maintain relationships with graduatesTrack professional progress of alumni, including completion of CFA and CFP examsEngage alumni in co-curricular activities to promote a culture of giving back’

Oversight and Governance :

Manage communications with the Titan Capital Management Advisory Board, Finance department chairperson, and Dean of the College of Business and EconomicsRegularly inform the board of program activities, challenges, and program / student successesArrange board meetings three times per year to report on program outcomes and plan future initiativesEvaluate board member participation and enforce term limits as neededMonitor and report on program budget and resource requirements

Qualifications

• CFA Charterholder
• Professional experience as a program manager or department head, preferably in a wealth management, asset management, or other financial services firm.
• Management experience in higher education, preferred.

EDUCATION :

Minimum Master’s in Business Administration or other relevant post-graduate degree.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS : Prolonged sitting in front of computer. Walking, talking, hearing, pulling, bending, may carry 10-15 pounds of objects / material, not exposed to extreme noise level, use hands to finger, handle, or feel, reach with hands or arms, stoop, kneel, taste or smell.
