LOCATION :

IN PERSON at various OSYD offices

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS :

Licensed and appointed NYCDOE SCHOOL COUNSELOR

Successful completion of Restorative Practices Tier 1 Training

Actively working as a Restorative Practitioner in NYCPS

SELECTION CRITERIA :

  • Can demonstrate a depth of experience as a school based Restorative Practitioner in NYCPS
  • Demonstrated knowledge of pedagogical best practices and had developed a Restorative / Transformative Justice best practice tool or artifact
  • Ability to successfully work in collaboration with other pedagogical staff
  • Demonstrated prior training / professional development in social emotional learning and / or student leadership programming and / or equity and access work
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Fluency in Google Drive
  • Preference will be given to individuals with prior experience on Restorative Practices Curriculum teams

DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES :

Work collaboratively with Restorative Practices directors and members of the curriculum team to document and develop practices, tools, protocols and artifacts to be shared digitally with schools and restorative practitioners across the DOE.

Edit, format and package curriculum materials as developed.

Develop virtual platform for schools to interact with curriculum and resources.

WORK SCHEDULE :

October 2024 - June 30, 2025 Monday- Friday and weekends as needed. Schedules will vary, up to 300 hours, schedules and hours may vary depending on assignment.

Hours up to, but not limited to the approximate number of hours listed. Additional hours may be granted upon the approval of the hiring manager.

SALARY :

Per Session rates as per the relevant union / organization of the advertised title (Collective Bargaining Agreement). Contingent upon funding availability and programmatic approval.
