Focus Displays is looking for a CAD Detailer to work in a fast-paced environment, coordinating with an experienced staff of designers, project managers and cabinet makers.
This position will be based in our San Diego, CA location with some travel as required.
The Responsibilities :
- Create accurate CAD drawings from design renderings, sketches or photos.
- Measure existing exhibit elements for creation of accurate CADs.
- Generate a bill of materials for all items used in the exhibit structure.
- Create labeled assembly drawings for all aspects of exhibit setup.
- Detail custom elements of exhibit for cutting on CNC router.
- Identify structural issues and develop workable solutions.
- Manage the deadlines and requirements of multiple projects.
- Detail build drawings for fabrication using various methods of construction.
The Necessary Experience :
The applicant should be proficient in AutoCAD software, both two-dimensional detailing and 3D modeling. Knowledge of router software and / or Adobe software is a plus.
Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university; and / or three or more years professional experience in exhibit design, interior design, architecture or related field.
