Overview
Perform maintenance on mobile and stationary equipment. Lead / Assist in any duties required. All duties assigned by the supervisor / lead are to be performed in a safe and efficient manner.
Responsibilities
Candidate must be willing and able to :
- Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on plant equipment (forklifts, Trackmobile, Backhoes, Scrap Handlers,
- Advanced knowledge of diesel engines, heavy transmissions, heavy-duty truck differentials, air brake equipment, automotive electrical system, heavy duty hydraulics
- Air Conditioning knowledge
- Change tires, perform welding and other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Safety Minded
- Positive attitude
Preferred) 2 years’ experience on repair of Diesel engines and heavy transmissions
- Pass (70th percentile) the Mechanical Aptitude Test
- Computer literate
- Ability to create and maintain a safe work environment for self and crew
- Good communication skills
- Valid driver’s License
- Supply own tools 1 and down
