Position Summary

The Group Program Coordinator will support planning, coordinating, and implementing group-based perinatal health and parenting education programs.

They will work closely with the Healthy Start team and other collaborating partners to ensure that programs are delivered effectively and efficiently.

Overall responsibilities will include supporting outreach, development of promotional materials, participant registration, data collection, and planning and coordinating group events.

In addition, this role will support the coordination of the Community Consortium.

Reportability

This position will report directly to the Perinatal and Family Health Program Manager.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

  • Perform various administrative / supportive duties, including word processing, organizing and maintaining online filing and inventory systems.
  • Plan and manage the events and activities calendar in collaboration with the program team.
  • Support the ordering and maintenance of program supplies and incentives.
  • Support group program participants data collection and input.
  • Utilize data entry, word processing, spreadsheet and file maintenance programs to enter, store, and retrieve information and data related to group-based programs and events.
  • Compile program and participant resources. May participate in community outreach activities such as distributing program brochures and attending community events.
  • Oversee the logistical setup and preparation for group-based events and other team meetings (e.g., setting up room, ordering food, coordinating with IT, sending participant reminders, etc.)
  • Coordinate the development and distribution of program promotional materials.
  • Responsible for coordinating the Community Consortium, including supporting the development and implementation of the Consortium plan.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Minimum High School diploma required with relevant post high school certification. Associate or Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • At least one year of hands-on working experience in administrative support and data entry.
  • Excellent communications, organizational, and computer skills (especially Microsoft Office)
  • Demonstrated cultural competence in communicating with people from various backgrounds.
  • Demonstrated experience creating content and promotional experience. Proficiency in Canva, InDesign, Photoshop, or other relevant application preferred.

Language Requirement - Ability to communicate effectively in English is required. Additional language proficiency or fluency preferred.

Physical Demands - Regularly required to work at a computer. Regularly required to communicate with team members and community members.

Frequently required to reach with hands and arms, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch; must be able to move objects up to twenty-five (25) pounds.

Work Environment - Mostly in a typical office, home setting, and / or hospital or birthing center. This position has the option of working a hybrid schedule - remotely & onsite, as needed.
