The department of Population Health at the Dell Medical School is looking for a Project Manager.

Funding expected to continue till 03 / 01 / 2029. R enewable based upon availability of funding, work performance, and progress toward programmatic goals .

To manage and coordinate a grant-funded research study focused on HPV testing among an underserved population in El Paso, Texas, entitled Unidos Contral el VPH, to ensure all goals, objectives, and deliverables are met in a timely manner.

The Project Manager will be the primary point of contact for the FQHC in El Paso, Texas. The Project Manager will be responsible for obtaining the list of eligible patients from the clinic and providing this information to appropriate program staff.

Will develop and submit abstracts to conferences and meetings and assist with writing manuscripts. D evelop protocols, forms and tools for data collection and tracking, work with project staff to ensure recruitment numbers are met, and work with the data analyst to run or obtain reports for required progress reporting by the funding agency.

R esponsible for maintaining the IRB application and binder and submitting any modifications needed. The Project Manager will ensure all data is entered correctly in the program database and maintain a shared folder with necessary documentation.

The Project Manager will manage all financial aspects of the program and provide budgetary oversight. The Project Manager will coordinate meetings, prepare agendas, take and disseminate minutes.

Purpose

The Project Manager will work closely with the Principal Investigator, all project staff, and collaborators. This position will oversee all grant activities and ensure that goals, objectives, and deliverables are met in a timely manner.

The Project Manager will serve as the primary research pr oject manager coordinat ing and supporting and overseeing t he grant-funded Unidos Contra el VPH program.

This is a research program assessing the effectiveness of innovative HPV self-sampling approaches to increasing cervical cancer screening.

This project is among patients at a federally qualified health center (FQHC) located in El Paso, Texas.

Responsibilities

Project Management Day-to-Day and Administrative Skills : Provide administrative support for the Principal Investigator .

Supervise the community health worker, data analyst, and any other volunteers. Coordinate meetings, prepare agendas, and maintain minutes.

Tracking of all grant goals and objectives to ensure they are being met in a timely manner. Collect and maintain all study related program documents and for regulatory and reporting purposes .

Manage financial reporting and budgetary oversight. Maintain ethics and compliance standards for the protection of human subjects, institutional training , and any additional training required by the institution or funding agency .

Partner Engagement Skills : Maintain relationship with Project Vida Health Center , other federally qualified health centers in El Paso, Texas .

and Avero Diagnostics . Ensure list of eligible clinic patients is received in a timely manner . Liaise with the clinic point of contact for any barriers in contacting patients.

Maintain sub-awards and ensure invoices are paid in a timely manner .

Data Collection and Management Skills : Manage primary data collection, develop, and maintain databases. Assist with development of surveys, forms, and tools for tracking data .

Ensure randomization schema is followed appropriately. M anage participant and survey data. Assist with post award management including preparation of progress and annual reports.

Communication and Organiz ational Skills : Maintain regular communication with sub-awardees and community partners . Create and maintain a centralized system for all program documents.

Other related duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree : Public Health, Health Promotion, Community Health, or related field and 5 years of cancer project management, community outreach engagement, and grant reporting experience.

Excellent oral and written communication skills. Ability to work independently and with minimal supervision. Strong organizational skills.

Relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.

Preferred Qualifications

Master's Degree : Public Health, Health Promotion, Community Health, or related field. 5+ years of community and clinical setting-based c ancer pr evention program coordination and oversight ;

community collaboration and network building, outreach , and engagement; contract and professional service agreement experience with agencies.

Bilingual : Functional or proficient in Spanish. Program procedure and protocol development experience. Working knowledge of data collection and organization.

Proficient in REDCap database development and management. Experience engaging with clinics and community partners. Proficient in basic computer skills.

Ability to work independently as well as in a collaborative environment, and coordinate with colleagues at varying organizational levels.

Experience with human subjects regulatory requirements and IRB procedures

Salary Range

$65,000+ depending on qualifications
