Job Summary The Associate Director for Academic Coaching is responsible for overseeing and managing the academic coaching program within the Academic Success Center.
This role involves providing leadership, guidance, and support to a team of academic coaches and collaborating with various stakeholders to ensure the success of the program and its varied initiatives.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Program Management : Developing, implementing, and managing the overall academic coaching program.
- Team Leadership : Supervising and supporting a team of academic coaches.
- Program Evaluation : Working with Business Analytics Analyst I to collect, analyze, and present data on program outcomes.
- Collaboration and Outreach : Building strong relationships with faculty, staff, and other academic support services.
- Resource Development : Oversee the creation and maintenance of resources to support academic coaching initiatives.
- Administrative Duties : Managing administrative tasks such as budgeting and scheduling.
- Stay Current : Remain well-informed of research and best practices in academic coaching.
- All other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in education or a related field with three (3) years of experience in higher education.
- Experience with retention and supervising professional staff.
- Evidence of successful collaboration to achieve project goals.
Preferred Qualifications
- Certified Coaching training preferred.
- Master’s degree in education or a related field.
- Five (5) years of higher education work experience.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Ability to research and design coaching curricula.
- Experience in working collaboratively with advisors and faculty.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
