Vaco has partnered with a company looking for an AP manager to join their team!
Key Responsibilities :
Oversee AP Operations :
Manage the day-to-day operations of the accounts payable department. Ensure timely and accurate processing of invoices, expense reports, and payments.
Monitor and manage the AP ledger to maintain accuracy and completeness.
Team Management :
Supervise, train, and mentor AP staff, fostering a collaborative and high-performing team environment. Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback to team members.
Coordinate workload and assignments to ensure efficient workflow.
Vendor Relations :
Establish and maintain strong relationships with vendors and suppliers. Address and resolve vendor inquiries and payment issues promptly.
Negotiate payment terms and discounts with vendors when appropriate.
Compliance and Controls :
Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements. Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure accurate financial reporting.
Conduct regular audits and reviews of AP processes and procedures.
Reporting and Analysis :
Prepare and present accounts payable reports, including aging reports, to senior management. Analyze AP data to identify trends, discrepancies, and opportunities for process improvements.
Collaborate with the finance team to support month-end and year-end closing activities.
System Management :
Oversee the maintenance and optimization of the accounts payable system. Implement system enhancements and upgrades as needed.
Ensure accurate data entry and integrity within the AP system.
