Position Summary The Secretary for Dreeban School of Education (DSE) provides assistance to the Dean, and directors in support of faculty, programs, and students.

- Professionally greet visitors and callers, handle their inquiries, and direct them to the appropriate persons according to their needs;
- Prepare and manage correspondence, reports and documents for assigned areas;
- Organize and coordinate meetings as assigned;
- Take, type and distribute minutes of assigned meetings;
- Handle incoming emails, mail and other material;
- Assist in maintaining assigned databases;
- Assist in management of office supplies;
- Assist in supervision of student workers;
- Perform other duties as assigned.

- Ability to multi-task within a face-paced academic administrative environment; strong time management, organizational and planning / problem solving skills;
- Ability to work constructively in a collaborative environment demonstrating professionalism at all times;
- Proactive self-starter; ability to work independently with minimal supervision;

- Excellent interpersonal skills; excellent communication skills, both in-person and phone;
- Ability to utilize and maintain office equipment (fax, copier, printer, scanner);
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams or similar; strong word processing skills; proficient in spelling, punctuation, grammar and other English language skills;
- Ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse communities and cultures;
- Employee shall adhere to all applicable rules and regulations of the University, the Conference, and the NCAA.
Required Education High school diploma or its equivalent. Required Work Experience Two (2) years of office support experience in a complex office environment.
Note that additional education will be considered in lieu of experience. Preferred Qualifications Some college. Required Certifications, Licenses or Registrations None specified.
Work Hours Monday through Friday 20 hours per week within 8am to 5pm schedule with occasional extended hours as needed to meet departmental goals. Physical Demands
- Ability to lift up to 10lbs of office materials.
- Ability to reach overhead, bend, squat to retrieve office materials.
- Ability to push / pull equipment carts holding up to 35 lbs.
- Ability to regularly move about campus to deliver mail and assigned packages / supplies.
