Overview :
The VP, Relationship Manager in Wealth Management is responsible for attracting new clients and identifying potential prospects within established portfolio in order to meet business development goals.
Responsibilities :
This position will generate revenues from new and existing clients through account additions and cross-selling other products, including lending and investment products, for Ocean Bank and its subsidiaries.
This position will perform all required customer due diligence, including customer interviews and document gathering, know your customer profiles, enhanced due diligence when applicable, and other related activities in order to comply with all BSA, KYC, bank policies, procedures, as well as relevant laws, rules and regulations.
Once relationships are established, the position responds to BSA requests and ensures that all customer profile information and documentation remains current.
This may include, but is not limited to, W-9 and W-8BEN, CIP documentation (drivers licenses, passports), core and supporting bank documents, updated financial statements and information, client profile information, and other support documentation.
Additionally, this position must comply with all related CIP and BSA / AML requirements; adheres to Bank policies, procedures and regulations.
Qualifications :
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in Business Administration, Accounting or Finance with five (5) years of banking related experience in product sales and servicing customers in international / private banking branch operations, or Associate’s degree with a minimum of seven (7) years experience directly related to proactive sales and servicing customers in international / private banking branch operations;
or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Knowledgeable on internal bank operations (new accounts, wire transfers, debits / credits) and banking and / or investment products to cross-sell.
Must be able to travel and visit prospected new clients within a designated area in order to increase depository and loan production / sales goals.
Preferable work experience in international / private banking branch environment.
Series 6, 7, 65, or 66 securities license(s), and / or the State of Florida 2-14 or 2-15 insurance license(s) highly preferred.
An established client portfolio preferred.
Formal credit training and / or experience in commercial, consumer or real estate lending a plus.
Must possess excellent organizational, interpersonal, time management, written and verbal communication (English and Spanish) skills.
Computer proficiency in MS Software (e.g. Excel, Word, and Outlook).
Experience working in a sales team, and high quality service advocacy.
An in-depth knowledge of Bank Secrecy Act / AML requirements is required.
Knowledge on the completion of KYC is required.
Understanding of banking laws and applicable compliance regulations is preferred.
