Role Summary The Facilities Maintenance Lead will be responsible for maintaining all building infrastructure systems, preventative repair and maintenance strategy, and leading the maintenance team for office and lab facilities in Southern California.

In true start up fashion, some of these programs do not exist or have opportunity for refinement as the company scales. Rivian is looking for an experienced individual, who is a self-starter, collaborative, highly organized, and communicative leader to champion and execute these programs.

Responsibilities Manage day-to-day building operations, inspections and maintenance tasks at multiple sites simultaneously Supervise Maintenance Engineers and Contractors to provide onsite support for safe and compliant operations Maintain and monitor maintenance and repairs on equipment, which includes mechanical (HVAC, boilers), electrical (generators, transfer switches and switchgear), fire detection, life safety, lighting and building management systems Respond to building emergencies (FLS, power outage, plumbing, equipment failure, etc.

during and outside of business hours Maintain equipment preventative maintenance reports and records. Work with the Sr.

Manager, Workplace Facilities Maintenance to review and create budgets and forecasts Partner with the Environmental Health and Safety team to ensure sites are maintained in compliance with all applicable codes, regulations, and standards.

Develop maintenance policies and procedures Use data analysis and end user feedback to help prepare and prevent future issues Onboard and maintain vendor relationships Qualifications 5+ years of experience in facilities management and workplace services.

Strong understanding of mechanical and electrical systems and knowledge of safety regulations. Project management experience preferred.

Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience. Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills. Proficiency in Microsoft suite, Slack and ServiceNow.

A service-oriented personality, self-motivated, confident, energetic, and flexible. Self-starter who is goal oriented, highly motivated and excels in a fast-paced environment.

Ability and willingness to travel approximately 30% of each month throughout LA / Orange Country Facilities. Pay Disclosure Salary Range for Irvine, CA based applicants : $98,000 - $123,000 annually (Actual compensation will be determined based on experience, location and other factors permitted by law).
