Behavioral Neurologist

Seeking a clinical neurologist with expertise in cognitive and behavioral neurology and memory disorders to join the Swedish Center for Healthy Aging, Neuroscience Institute.

The Swedish Neuroscience Institute (SNI) has a large regional presence with 5 campuses across the Puget Sound. In this position, there are opportunities to work with several other subspecialists at SNI and to develop expand Dementia and Brain Health Programs along with our other subspecialty programs in Movement Disorders, Stroke, Epilepsy, MS, ALS / Neuromuscular, Neuro-oncology, Neuro-ophthalmology, and Pediatric Neurology.

In addition, with Swedish's large primary care network and geriatrics programs, there are opportunities to partner with these groups to develop systems of care for dementia patients across the region.

On a larger scale, Swedish, as part of Providence St. Joseph Health, is interested in developing standards for dementia care across a multi-state region.

Hence, the provider in this role will have opportunities to impact dementia care on a much larger scale with significant impact.

Responsibilities

• Utilize the latest tools to diagnose the stages of memory loss and dementia, including PET imaging, genetic testing, EEG, neuropsychology, and cerebrospinal fluid analysis.
• Participate in robust clinical trials across the spectrum of cognitive decline.
• Teach medical students, residents, and fellows.
• Engage in community outreach and education.

Minimum Requirements

• Must be Board-certified in Neurology.
• Must have completed an ACGME / AOA approved Neurology residency program.
• Must have completed a Behavioral or Geriatric Neurology fellowship program.

Compensation

Compensation between $260,686 and $382,015. The compensation amounts listed may include productivity or quality / service incentives, call pay, extra shift incentives, as applicable to the position.

In addition, providers may have CME benefits available to them.
